Occupational Therapy Assessments
Occupational Therapy Assessments
Understand what is getting in the way of everyday life.
An occupational therapy assessment explores your strengths, the activities you want or need to do, and the surroundings and supports that affect them.
We assess specific areas such as sensory processing or executive functioning, or look more broadly at everyday participation. The findings guide practical strategies, therapy and support recommendations.

Assessment Options
Sensory Assessment
Explore how sound, light, touch, movement or busy environments affect your comfort and participation. Identify strategies and changes to activities or surroundings that fit your needs.
Executive Functioning Assessment
Understand difficulties with getting started, planning, organising, remembering steps, managing time and completing tasks. Identify supports for routines, study, work and household responsibilities.
Occupational Assessment
Look at the activities and roles that matter to you, where difficulties occur and what helps. Consider the person, the task and the environment together to guide therapy and practical changes.
NDIS Access Assessment
Document how disability affects daily functioning and participation to support an NDIS application. These assessments are privately funded. The NDIA makes the access decision.
Functional Capacity Assessments
For a broader assessment of how disability affects everyday functioning and the support you need, see our Functional Capacity Assessment page.
What to Expect
We agree on the purpose of the assessment before starting. Depending on what is needed, this can include a conversation about everyday life, questionnaires and observing relevant activities. With your consent, we can include information from family, carers or other professionals.
We discuss the findings and recommendations with you, including any report requirements.
