Older Adult Occupational Therapy
Older Adult Occupational Therapy
At OUR THERAPIES, we take time to understand you, your strengths and what matters to you. We consider the connection between the person, their occupations and their environment. Occupations include caring for yourself, preparing meals, managing your home, spending time with others and enjoying your interests. Your environment includes your home, community, relationships and the support around you.

How We Work
We consider your mental health alongside your thinking, physical abilities and daily circumstances. Therapy can include emotional regulation strategies, memory and planning support, adapting activities, equipment recommendations and changes to your home environment.
With your consent, we can involve family members, carers and other treating professionals. Our focus is on sustaining participation, respecting your choices and finding the right level of support.
What Occupational Therapy Might Support You with
Changes in mental health, memory, physical health or energy can affect everyday activities. We explore what is becoming difficult and what can help you continue participating in the things that matter.
- Anxiety, low mood or loss affecting your routine: support to understand your experiences and reconnect with daily activities and relationships.
- Memory or planning difficulties: reminders, simpler routines and changes to how activities are organised.
- Fatigue or reduced physical capacity: pacing, adapting tasks and equipment to make activities more manageable.
- Concerns about managing safely at home: assessment of daily activities, equipment and changes to your surroundings.
- Retirement, illness or changing roles: support to adjust, maintain valued interests and explore what matters now.
