Older Adult Occupational Therapy

We support older adults with changes in cognition, mental health and daily function. Our focus is on staying involved in valued activities and ageing in place with the right support.

How We Work

We consider your strengths, health, routines and home environment. We support reablement: rebuilding or maintaining skills for everyday activities.

Therapy can include memory and planning strategies, emotional wellbeing, pacing, equipment and changes to tasks or surroundings.

With your consent, we work with family, carers and treating professionals.

How We Can Help

  • Memory and thinking: support daily tasks affected by changes in attention, memory, planning or dementia.
  • Mental health: address anxiety, depression, grief, isolation and adjustment to changes in health or independence.
  • Ageing in place: assess daily activities, home safety, equipment and support needs.
  • Reablement: rebuild skills and routines after illness, reduced activity or a change in function.
  • Participation: reconnect with interests, relationships and community activities.
  • Fatigue or physical changes: adjust activities and pace daily demands.
