DVA Occupational Therapy

Mental health occupational therapy considers how anxiety, low mood, trauma and changes in health or roles affect your everyday life.

Support can address emotional regulation, routines, relationships and participation in work, home and community activities.

How DVA Funding Works

DVA may fund clinically necessary occupational therapy for eligible Veteran Gold Card holders and Veteran White Card holders whose treatment relates to covered conditions.

A referral is required, usually from your GP. Under the usual treatment cycle, a referral covers up to 12 sessions or one year, whichever comes first. Further treatment requires review and a new referral.

Providers who accept DVA funding accept the DVA fee as full payment for covered services. See DVA occupational therapy information.
